Thunder trims roster to 15 as regular season kicks off against 76ers, McGary and 3 others cut

The Thunder has selected its 15-man roster to begin the season. First game is at Philadelphia.  See details here.

Cut from the squad was Mitch McGary, who was waived with a year remaining on his contract. McGary was one of four Thunder players waived to get its roster to the NBA maximum of 15 players, and one of two under guaranteed contracts. The Thunder also cut guard Ronnie Price, center Kaleb Tarczewski and forward Chris Wright. Tarczewski and Wright may play for the Oklahoma City Blue, the franchise’s Development League team.
